Dennis is somewhat of a rarity among attorneys. He brings a great deal of real world experience to the practice of law. At age 17, Dennis worked for Houston Construction Company building gas pumping stations for Tenneco in Staples, Minnesota. At age 19, Dennis worked for Houston Construction Company in Hattiesburg, Mississippi as an iron worker. Thereafter, he worked at U.S. Steel driving a charging crane in Gary, Indiana. At age 22, he successfully ran a clothing business for five years before going back to school to obtain his undergraduate degree. Thereafter, Dennis went to Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis and graduated from law school in 2½ years. These experiences help Dennis understand the day-to-day grind that working people endure and the problems experienced by small business owners in owning and operating a business. Dennis worked as a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor before entering private practice. Dennis' current practice focuses primarily on personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death and civil litigation. Wegner & Associates is a transportation law attorney practice led by Dennis Wegner, bringing rare, real-world experience to complex legal matters. Before practicing law, Dennis worked in physically demanding roles across industries, including construction work for Houston Construction Company building gas pumping stations for Tenneco in Staples, Minnesota; iron work in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and operating a charging crane at U.S. Steel in Gary, Indiana. He later ran a clothing business for five years, giving him firsthand insight into the day-to-day realities working people face and the challenges small business owners encounter. Dennis then earned his undergraduate degree and completed his legal education at Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, graduating in 2½ years. He previously served as a Marion County Deputy Prosecutor before entering private practice. With more than 32 years of experience, Dennis represents individuals who have been wrongfully injured by the acts of individuals, corporations, and state or local government officials. His experience includes trying cases in the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and in many state courts throughout Indiana. He has also argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the Indiana Court of Appeals.
